Summer School and Your Library

May 11 – a new beginning  with GRCC Summer classes – one for which we hope you are signed up. Summer classes are a great way to get needed classes off your to-do list. Plus, did you hear about universal fees being cut?    The Library & Learning Commons website is “business as usual” –  and if you need to know more about doing college research online, take a look at the Virtual Services Subject Guide. Upcoming Library Hours Changes (Interim and Summer Session)

Exam Week (April 23-27):

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 9:45 PM (April 23-26)
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (April 27 – Commencement Day)

Interim Week (April 30-May 4):

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Summer Session (May 7-Aug. 17):

  • Monday – Thursday:  7:30 AM – 8:00 PM  (Faculty – information literacy instruction is available after 8:00 PM)
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Closed:

  • Saturdays & Sunday (April 28 through September 2)
  • Monday May 28 Memorial Day
  • Wednesday July 4 Independence Day

2014 Spring/Summer Hours

Beginning May 3rd, the library will begin its spring/summer hours:

Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm
Friday
8am-5pm
Closed Weekends

The library will have restricted service or will be closed on the following days:
May 3-4 Closed
May 5-9 8am – 5pm
Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) Closed
Thursday, July 4 Closed
August 18-22 8am – 5pm
August 25 Fall hours begin

Library Closed on Fourth of July

Request your Summer Session 2013 Semester Library Reservations now!

We are processing reservation requests for Summer 2013 Library and Information Literacy Instruction and/or seating for “Library Research Only” sessions.

Please use the online request forms located on the LLC website under [Forms], also shown below:

Students learn about college-level library services and collections, how to locate books, journal articles, and other quality learning resources, citing, and how to evaluate web sites.

  1. Have you seen the Library & Learning Commons streaming video tour? Please consider adding it to your Blackboard.
  2. If your class meets outside of the LLC’s regular Summer hours or at off-campus locations, we will happily scheduled sessions for you, too. Please reserve at least 2 weeks prior to the session.
  3. Library worksheets used in the past are posted to your department’s Subject Guide; we update them every time we teach. If we don’t yet have a Subject Guide covering your departments’ needs, please contact your liaison librarian.
