Martin Luther King Jr. Display & Service Learning

Last week’s national holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day honored the late Civil Rights leader. It also is evolving into one of those days when US citizens do community service to honor MLK’s memory.

Community service is one trait that GRCC hopes to instill in our students. Sometimes that is indicative in the kind of academic program one is pursuing (teaching, healthcare, criminal justice, etc.) – and other times it is a value-added element in classes, called Service Learning. Check out the Service Learning Subject Guide to learn more about it.

Feel free to borrow any of the titles on Reverend King and his life’s work to ensure Civil Rights for all from the book display curated by Sophia Brewer.
