This month, Films on Demand (FOD) added over 300 new videos – on topics spanning: business marketing; careers; communications; criminal justice; environment; ethics; gerontology; health; hospitality; psychology; social geography; to, technology. Videos contain either closed captioning or transcripts, so FOD meets GRCC’s accessibility guidelines.

The LLC provides a great NEW career resource with the Career Q&A: Professional Advice and Insight streaming videos from Films on Demand. 80 “candid video interviews with professionals across multiple industries” cover topics including: “keys to success in the field, education and certification requirements, general workplace atmosphere, a typical day on the job, industry-specific challenges, what the future holds, advice for breaking into the profession, and more.”

In the Working With … series, young people in the UK “discuss how they use knowledge and skills they learned at school in the real world… about their working lives, career paths, and what they enjoy about their jobs.” 17 subjects / skills are included: Art, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Design Technology, English, Foreign Language, History, Mechanical Engineering.
