Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops

GRCC’s Academic Video Online / VAST database is regularly supplemented by new video, and this one will inform us all as society deals with the rise in mental health social problems and how police handle them with crisis intervention training.

Ernie & Joe: Crisis Cops addresses how police officers address the mental health-related issues they encounter daily. This HBO Documentary film “follows two police officers with the San Antonio Texas Police Department who are diverting people away from jail and into mental health treatment, one 911 call at a time.” Logon with your last name and 7-digit Raider number. New Criminal Justice Videos

“Asking Questions in an Investigation.” Films On Demand, Films Media Group, 2020.

Every month, streaming videos are added to GRCC’s Films on Demand (FOD) video database. What grabbed my attention this month was Insights and Strategies: Investigations. In this 6-video series, former homicide task force leader and author, Colin McLaren, discusses various techniques, procedures, and considerations when handling investigations in the workplace or as part of a task force.
