Virtual Reference Assistance For You

GRCC Virtual Reference Hours are:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM.

Have an APA citing question? Need a list of professional journals in your field? Can’t find a college-level article that explains the PRO-CONS of a topic? Need an eBook on <name your topic>? Wondering if an internet website is legit? Need to narrow a research topic to articles published in peer-reviewed journals?

GRCC Library Here For You (despite Building Hours change)

GRCC is transitioning more in-person classes to virtual formats to slow the spread of Covid-19. Start Strong with OneSearch

Start your research with GRCC Library OneSearch – that big search box on the Library homepage.  The OneSearch Quick Start Guide explains how to access OneSearch, refine your results, and create citations.

OneSearch provides you with full-text articles, books, ebooks, and multimedia that relate to your assignments.  If you need assistance, the OneSearch Chat box will pop up  and librarians are available to chat with you during Virtual Reference Hours.

Now is the time to get started with that assignment – with OneSearch!

Need Books?

Need books to finish a research assignment?  Now is the time to use GRCC’s eBook collection.  From the Library’s homepage, type your search ebooks results page with numbersterms into the GRCC Library OneSearch box.  Then refine your results as follows:

  1. Click Full Text Online
  2. Click Book / eBook
  3. Select the Publication Date(s) appropriate to your topic and assignment.
  4. Click onto the Title URL, or the Preview link, to see if the title works for you.
  5. If you intend on using this title for your assignment, click the Quote Marks to get a formatted citation. (Woo-hoo!)
