First Nations Display Supports NASO Field Trip

GRCC’s Native American Student Organization (NASO) is hosting a free educational field trip to the Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture and Lifeways in Mount Pleasant on Saturday, Nov. 16 – and you’re invited! This grant-funded all-day event has the goal of  educating GRCC students, faculty and staff on the Anishinabe history and culture that flourishes in the greater Grand Rapids area.

Come to the Library and take a look while finding out how you can get involved in NASO.  You do not have to be Native American to be a member!  To support the efforts of this student group, librarian Mary Johnson recently curated a book display of First Nations titles found on the Library’s 1st Floor.  Additionally, Sophia Brewer curates a NASO Subject Guide with links to research resources.
