November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). It’s an internet-based creative writing project shared by thousands of would-be writers (Wrimos) since 1999.
On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. Published authors provide tips and encouragement via social media. There is an active group of West Michigan wrimos who are blogging online – take a look and consider joining them.
Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel. Have you ever wondered if there is a book in you? Start writing this month and find out!
