How early is too early for Christmas music?

Halloween has passed and Thanksgiving is on the horizon so the obvious question is when to start playing Christmas music, right?  Personally, I do not believe in any sort of Christmas related festivities taking place or Christmas music playing until AFTER Thanksgiving.  This mostly has to do with the fact that I get way too excited and have zero patience, so stretching out the holiday season all the way from the day after Halloween through Christmas day just takes too long!  I do have friends and family members who immediately begin Christmas festivities; one aunt even plays Christmas music year round – so not cool!

In any case, America being a melting pot, there are several other celebrations happening during the winter season across our nation.  Whether you celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice or something else you can find all the information you could want right here on campus at the library.  The GRCC Library can teach you more about the history of the holidays, traditions, food and so much more.  You can find the information in books, ebooks, film and databases  – add learning to this year’s celebrations!

Holidays celebrated during the upcoming months are listed below – follow the links to find resources you can check out through the GRCC Library!
