This week, September 30 – October 6, is Banned Books Week. The theme this year is “30 Years of Liberating Literature”. During this week, and through the rest of the month of October, the library will have guest posts from staff and students celebrating their love of reading by nominating their favorite banned book.
You can participate through the month of October, by emailing me your favorite title, author, and a paragraph or two of why this is your favorite banned book. If you’re looking for inspiration, here is a list of challenged books from the last decade and challenged classics.
You can also peruse through our posts previous years to see what others are saying writing about banned and challenged books.
