Eating healthy and sustainably is no longer a fad; it has definitely become a way of life. Even as the number of farmer’s markets in the area continue to grow and their hours expand, sometimes it’s just not enough. Starting September 5, GRCC has partnered with GR YMCA to fill in that gap by having the the Veggie Van on campus every other week. The Veggie Van will be on campus every other Tuesday (including today!) from 11AM to 12PM. They accept debit, cash, credit, and bridge cards.
So if you can’t make it to any of the local markets, the markets are now coming to you!
Living and eating sustainably is not just reduced to buying your foods from the local farmer’s market, but also includes growing your own foods, using green and sustainable products, and living a more natural life style. The library has loads of materials on a variety of subjects to whet your appetite. Below are some of the subjects in sustainability, natural living, and organic farming we have readily available in print, eBook, audio, and video:
