April 22nd is Earth Day! This year, the theme is Mobilize The Earth. Here are the 5 W’s of Earth Day:

Who celebrates Earth Day?
Over 1 billion celebrate Earth Day, in over 192 countries around the world.

What can you do to celebrate?

When was & is Earth Day celebrated?
Earth Day was first celebrated in 1970, becoming an annual celebration on April 22nd, in 1990.

Earth Day 1970 capitalized on the emerging consciousness, channeling the energy of the anti-war protest movement and putting environmental concerns front and center.

Why do we celebrate the Earth on this day?
Earth day is a day which is celebrated to heighten awareness & to promote conservation of our crumbling environment.
