With Change, Comes Opportunity

The Change
In recent years libraries all over the world, including our very own GRCC Library, have begun to make changes in their subscriptions & purchases. The transition from print magazines, books & journals to online magazines, databases & eBooks has commenced. In order to provide students with the most up-to-date information, while utilizing the most up-to-date technologies, we have started dropping print subscriptions & adding online ones, we have also purchased nearly 83,000 eBooks.

So, what does this mean for you?

Opportunities galore! That’s what. Many of the titles which GRCC has purchased online access to, you are able to retrieve from the comfort of your home! Although, not all of our online titles are available for you to access from home, the rest of them are obtainable on campus at the GRCC library. You can identify online resources in RaiderSearch by looking at which icon is associated with the title you’re interested in or by the format it is available in. For example, our online magazine & journal subscriptions are listed under the heading “available electronically” on the particular title’s page & our e-books can be recognized by the red book symbol & small blue “e”. We are hoping that these resources will help you research with more ease & be more convenient for you! Check them out today!
